Karen L . Vervaecke has successfully engaged in the practice of law for over 30 years. She specializes in and is passionate about Family Law but also has extensive experience in Criminal Law, Elder Law, mediating construction related disputes, residential foreclosures, and landlord tenant law.

She has been a mediator since 1993 and is considered a Nebraska Parenting Act Mediator and a High Conflict (SADR) mediator. She received Omaha Magazine’s Best of Omaha award in 2021 for her successes as a divorce mediator and she continues to excel in the field.

The Courts of Douglas, Sarpy, Washington, and Cass County hold Karen L. Vervaecke in high esteem because of her extensive experience, continued integrity and noteworthy legal acumen as evidenced by her continued appointment as Guardian ad litem and Parenting Plan Mediator.

Karen L. Vervaecke has dedicated countless hours to improving the field of law by becoming a member and past chair of the Nebraska State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Committee. She is also a member, and a presenter at a national meeting, of the Association of Attorney Mediators.
